Along with Will, who was in charge of gathering data and visual materials on the existing supermarkets in the UK, it was my job to collect and put together some information on the materials that we will be able to use for our Sustainable Supermarket. I went through the pros and cons of some of the more environmentally sound materials. Almost all of them are high energy process to produce, but then so are virgin materials so the benefits of these materials vastly outweigh the cons.
