Stickers

As part of the sustainable supermarket we wanted to propose a scheme that we feel would work when it comes to packaging that has been emptied of their contents. OUr idea was to offer the customers the chance to return their empties to the store, and when they have returned a certain amount, they qualify for a special offer, such as returning five tins and getting a new tin for free. Though doing this, it encourages the customer to not simply throw the packaging straight into the bin, and they will be mroe willing to take part in the scheme if they know that it will benefit them in some way.

Instead of printing this onto the packaging, we have decided to design stickers to be stuck to whatever product is part of the special promotion, such as tins, jars and bottles.

We decided to use both colours for the promotion stickers, depending on which would show up more against the colour of the packaging.
Because the bakery and green grocer sections of the store use paper bags as their packaging, sometimes those bags need to be sealed so the contents to not spill out on the way home, so we designed a sticker that would be used to seal the bag shit. We are proposing that it be made of biodegradable sticker paper using water based adhesive so that it can simply be thrown away in the food waste and will biodegrade safely and cleanly. We have designed a range of stickers specific to each section of the store so that people can simply seal the bag shut and still know what is inside.
